Tia's Way established in 2009, is a Maryland based non-profit organization, created in memory of Tia Edwards who passed away from cervical cancer on September 25, 2008 at the age of 28. To carry on her legacy we've made it our mission is to raise awareness about the prevention of HPV and treatment of cervical cancer.
Tia's Way strives to be a place that all can come to, not only for information but for the opportunity to take action against this disease.
We know that knowledge is power and we go directly to the people to spread out message making sure no women is left behind. Tia's cancer journey may be over, but what she wanted for everyone was early detection. Our vision is a world where no woman is suffereing from cervical cancer, every woman knows her HPV status and most of all knows how to protect herself.
